At READERS to EATERS, we hope to bring you the latest food reads, as well as classic stories about food.

We’re mobile, and soon will be online.

Our selection feature newly published and classic titles, popular as well as undiscovered staff picks, books for curriculum teaching and reading group discussions. We think it is important to have books that children and families and read together. We also want to highlight books that are not always promoted by major publishers or mainstream presses.

From Strawberry Day, on how the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II affected a former farming community, to Cuisines of the Axis of Evil and Other Irritating Stories, a hilarious look at the food and political history of our “enemies,” to Tops & Bottoms, the Caldecott honor children’s trickster tale about how vegetables grow, there is a wealth of information, interesting reads, and fascinating stories about food literacy.

You may find us selling books at a farmers market, a harvest festival, a professional conference, a school program or fundraising event. Or, you can order from us directly by contacting Philip Lee or call us at 206.849.1962.
